Watro Senior Expo on Sept. 12

HARRISBURG – Rep. Dane Watro will be holding his annual FREE Senior Expo at Hazleton’s Laurel Mall on Friday, Sept. 12, from 9 a.m. to noon.

The expo offers seniors the opportunity to learn more about services, activities and information available to them throughout Luzerne and Schuylkill counties. Exhibitors will include area health care professionals, insurance providers and other state and local agencies and organizations. Various health-related screenings will also be offered, including hearing checks, cholesterol and glucose screenings, and blood work. If doing a cholesterol screening, you are asked to fast prior to the screening.

Additionally, any old, unwanted or unused prescription medication can be brought to the expo for the Drug Take Back Program. There will also be someone collecting used or unwanted eyeglasses.
